过去进行时用法总结，从句是一组有意义的词，但往往不是完整的句子。有些从句以“当”这个词开头，例如“当她打电话时”或“当它咬我时”。还有一些从句以while开头，比如“while she was sleeping”和“while he was surfing”。当你谈论过去的事情时，When通常后面跟动词的一般过去时，而while通常后面跟过去进行时。While表达了“在那段时间”的意思。研究下面的例子。它们有相似的意思，但是它们强调句子的不同部分。

记住非连续动词/混合动词，重要的是要记住，非进行式动词不能用在任何进行式时态中。此外，混合动词的某些非连续含义不能用于进行时态。这些动词不要用过去进行时，而要用一般过去时。
